Diversity

And one more for the day...In all the elementary classrooms we are talking about diversity.  We have looked at the inside of different colored eggs, made snowflakes, and done some exploring with different languages and physical challenges.  No matter what, we realize about how great it is that we are all different on the outside, but what really matters is how we are on the inside and how we treat each other.  So, here's another quote for the day, that I hope we can all appreciate.

How was your day??

How many times have you asked your child, "How was your day?" and you get the response, "Fine." Or, better yet, you try to be more specific and ask, "What did you do today?"  The usual response is, "Nothing."  Well, here is a great list of NEW questions to ask your child to get more of the answers you want.  Try it out, see if you get more of the answers you're looking for!

First Blog EVER

This is my first blog, EVER, and I'm pretty excited!  I want to be able to post information for parents, teachers, and students to use, when they need.  I also want to be able to update parents and families with what we are learning in our elementary classrooms.  With this being so new, I'm not sure what direction this will take, but I'm up for the challenge, and adventure, so I hope you will help me out.  :)

I do love inspirational quotes and always have them loaded on my phone to look at.  So, for first blog, here's one of my favorites.
